Description |
Temple block. Rounded, wooden, carved and painted with slit carved into side to act as resonator cavity. Undercoat of orange paint, top coat of red paint. Black paint on carved handle, gold paint on body carvings. Three holes in handle for suspending block. Center hole has 3cm W round felt pad glued around to support while block is on frame. Much use and wear, paint peeling to reveal undercoat and wood beneath. Wood is dry. |
