Description |
Wooden body, outside painted red. Two rows of brass fluted jingles (48); 11 sets of jingles doubled and 2 sets single. Spaced evenly around tambourine with handle space open (20cm). Brass tacks hold on white skin head; 2-sized tacks evenly spaced and juxtaposed L/S. Thin black leather glued to head; cutouts show white 15cm circle in center of tambourine and white handle area. No maker's mark on object. On underside of head is unreadable cursive writing. Jingles not shiny, head pulling out from under tacks in spots. |
